Rauf Aslanov

Rauf Aslanov is a sociologist and researcher, born in Azerbaijan, in 1999. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Istanbul Bilgi University and a Master's degree in Sociology from the Middle East Technical University, where he focused on migration trends from Central Asia to Turkey after the 2008 global financial crisis. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Sociology at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, funded by the Lithuanian State Fund.
Rauf's research explores the dynamics of migration, transnationalism, and identity among Ukrainian diaspora communities in Lithuania. He has presented his findings at academic conferences and contributed to the field through quantitative, qualitative, and field research. In addition to his academic work, Rauf has experience in translation and content creation. He is passionate about engaging with diverse communities and contributing to discussions on migration studies and public policy.
His interests include migration sociology, international relations, foreign languages, and public engagement. Rauf seeks to make meaningful contributions to academia and beyond, leveraging his expertise to foster understanding in an increasingly interconnected world.
