Constance Bwire

Constance Bwire is an Environmental Health Specialist and Climate Researcher with over ten years of experience linking scientific research to practical policy in climate change and public health. She has led the design and delivery of climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, translated research into practical solutions, and worked across disciplines at both local and global levels.


She holds a PhD in Sustainability Science from the United Nations University in Japan, a Master of Public Health from Uganda Christian University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry from Makerere University. Constance has held key research and academic roles, including as a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (UK), a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Graz (Austria), a Research Associate at Makerere University (Uganda), and a Project Coordinator at CARE International in Uganda.


Her strengths include developing climate and health policies, contributing to National Adaptation Plans, and synthesizing evidence using mixed methods and systematic reviews. She is experienced in writing manuscripts, policy briefs, and presentations. Her technical skills include research design, data analysis, and developing climate-health indicators. Constance is also a strong communicator and project manager, with experience in global forums such as the World Urban Forum and international, donor-funded research projects.
