Originally from Bangladesh and currently based in Finland, Syeda Tanzina Shadat is an HR professional with nearly 10 years of experience in multinational organizations. She holds a Master’s degree in International Business Management from JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Finland, complemented by a Master’s degree in Economics, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and postgraduate studies in Human Resource Management.
Throughout her career, Tanzina has developed broad experience across HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, employee lifecycle management, performance management, training, compliance, and employee engagement. She has worked in diverse and multicultural environments, supporting employees and business leaders and contributing to effective, people-focused HR practices. Her experience also includes supporting HR Business Partnering activities, workforce planning, policy implementation, leadership development, and cross-country collaboration within global environments.
After moving to Finland, Tanzina further strengthened her international HR experience through an International Recruitment traineeship, supporting candidate sourcing, screening, recruitment coordination, and communication while gaining practical knowledge of the Finnish labour market and multicultural recruitment.
A people person by nature, Tanzina enjoys building meaningful relationships, working across cultures, and continuously learning. She is passionate about creating positive employee experiences and contributing to workplaces where people feel supported, valued, and included.
Tanzina joined Arcadia with a strong interest in contributing her HR experience, international perspective, and people-focused approach to its mission of advancing education, accessibility, equality, and inclusion.
