Rebeca Tomikawa

Rebeca Tomikawa Gamboa is a highly accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in Contracts, Corporate law, M&A, and Compliance. She is currently pursuing an LLM in Compliance at Universität Freiburg/Université de Fribourg, which complements her existing academic background and has broadened her legal knowledge in several areas, including AML, Banking Compliance, Business Ethics, Trade Compliance, and more.

Rebeca's educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in São Paulo, Brazil. She further enhanced her legal knowledge by completing a short specialization in M&A, Corporate Restructuring, and Due Diligence at Fundação Getúlio Vargas São Paulo. Rebeca then obtained a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from the same institution, followed by another postgraduate degree in Contract Law from PUC – SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo). Her educational pursuits demonstrate her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

With over a decade of experience, Rebeca has excelled in various legal roles focusing on Contracts, Corporate, M&A, and Compliance, contributing significantly to the organizations she has worked with. Throughout her experiences, she has led teams consisting of lawyers, trainees, and administrative assistants. She has also coordinated various legal activities, such as drafting corporate documents and contracts, implementing compliance programs, and structuring projects involving corporate, contractual, real estate, tax, and regulatory matters in national and international cases across multiple industries.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Rebeca is multilingual, with fluency in Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English. She also has a basic understanding of Spanish and French and is currently studying French to further expand her language skills.
