Sani Saidi
Associate Researcher
Sani Saidi was born in 1990 in Skopje, North Macedonia. He is a young promising policy maker, experienced manager and enthusiastic researcher, writer and active promoter of a free, responsible and prosperous society. His formal education is a combination of social sciences and scientific research in Skopje, Vienna, Istanbul and Warsaw, comprised by a master degree in International Economic Relations, dual bachelor degrees in Public Relations and International Economic Relations and completion of 2015 cycle of the Council of Europe Schools of Political Studies.

Last three years, Saidi has been in charge of the National Institute Film Center Vardar Film Skopje, as a General Director. During this period, he registered a remarkable success in the management of the film center, transforming it from an institution in stagnation and unproductive, into a well functioning and a self sustainable institution. Nonetheless, with a lot of hard work and devotion he achieved to make significant contribution in development and promotion of the country's cinematography. Numerous and various successful projects and international collaborations in the film industry that were realized has his signature. This journey enriched him with precious experience, knowledge and better understanding of the film sector and art, in general.

Before entering the film world, for a significant period he has worked as an assistant in organization of several international conferences and as a junior researcher mainly, on economic, political and social themes a the Austrian Economics Center settled in Vienna, Austria. Since 2018, Sani is part of the Innovation in Politics Institute, contributing in realization of their projects and strongly committed to improving politics and policy making in Europe and beyond. Part of his rich international experience and further professional development, undoubtedly, is his active participation and completion of various educational programs and trainings organized by the European Academy of Diplomacy and the Visegraad School of Political Studies located in Warsaw, Poland.

Beside his native language Albanian, Sani is fluent in English and Macedonian, along with sufficient understanding of Turkish and German, and the basics of Arabic language that reflects his multicultural background. So far, he has published over a dozen of research papers, articles and a book, participated in many international scientific conferences and seminars and has also organized several international conferences and events on various topics in the country and abroad.

Sani continues his work on research and writing in his endeavour for further academic advancement, independently from other commitments. In this direction, the engagement in the role as a Researcher at Arcadia, is with the main aim of undertaking substantial research and creating qualitative articles in various areas.
