Eleonora Cassano

Eleonora Cassano was born in Rome and grew up in the Italian part of Switzerland.

She graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a solid economic background. During her studies she co-organised Switzerland’s largest recruitment event in the legal, business and economic field (HSG TALENTS Conference), gaining project and event management skills.

After working for the Swiss Embassy in Luxembourg, Eleonora moved to Zurich where she completed her Master’s degree in Law (magna cum laude) with a strong focus on International and Business Law and a Master’s thesis in Sustainable Finance and ESG Disclosure. Later, she worked for the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in Bern, where she conducted investigations of unauthorised activities in numerous areas such as banking, asset management and collective investment schemes, fintech and cryptocurrencies.

In 2023, after absolving a legal internship at the Civil Court of her hometown in Switzerland, she recently moved to Beirut to work as Analyst for ALEF – Act for Human Rights, a Lebanese NGO.
