Patricia Acebes Najarro

Patricia Acebes, born in Mogán, Spain, is a social and cultural anthropologist
specializing in editorial editing and marketing strategy and brand development.
During college, she discovered a keen interest for reading essays and
academic works, but she realized that many academic pieces were inaccessible
to those outside the academy due to complex language or exclusive
distribution. This sparked her interest in editing, driven by the belief that
knowledge should transcend social class and educational barriers, editing can
become a tool to democratize knowledge.
Embarking on her professional journey, she has worked in different sectors
related to books, from bookshops to publishing houses and magazines. She
has worked at companies such as Berg Institute and other nacional institutions,
which gave her a strong foundation in AI and data analytics, management,
proofreading of texts or drafting of paratexts and complementary elements.
Currently serving as an editor at Arcadia.
