Deegan-Lee Richards

Editor

Born in 2002 in South Wales, Deegan pursued his passion for English Literature for both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Whilst initially focusing on contemporary novels that used satire as a means to critique social issues, his focus shifted onto interrogating critical oversights in ergodic literature. It was novels from the latter that gave him a newfound respect for the creative process behind every novel and cemented his desire to pursue an editing career professionally.

Deegan used his time in university to edit works of fiction and non-fiction alike as an associate editor. Enjoying the thrills of the short horror fictions as much as the unique insights into various historical authors, Deegan decided to pursue a career in editing and publishing. He also contributed to a student run prose and poetry collection and made it through to the final publication. During this time, Deegan was inspired by the dedication of his peers from many international backgrounds and hopes to learn other languages such as German and Korean. He has a passionate interest in engaging with new hobbies from gardening to archery and frequently looks for the next volunteering project to help with.
