Vittorio Lago was born in 1997, in a town called Castelfranco Veneto, in the north-east of Italy. He has attended a bilingual school, for the duration of the first cycle of education, and has attended a high school which predominantly focused on humanities, during the second cycle of education.
He has proceeded to attend the Law faculty, graduating with honors in Law from LUISS “Guido Carli” in November 2021, discussing a final thesis which focused on international responsibility. He obtained a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) in “Public International Law - track in Human Rights” from Utrecht University, in October 2021. From January 2020 to June 2020, he participated in the Erasmus program, attending the University of Helsinki.
After the conclusion of the academic studies, he has attended a traineeship at the Judiciary Offices of the Verona Tribunal, where he assisted the Office of the Prosecutor, developing a solid knowledge of Italian criminal substantial and procedural law and perfecting legal writing abilities.
He defines himself as a passionate legal scholar, sincere believer of dialogue as the means to progress and he pursues a sincere passion for music, literature and sports.
He has been active in politics and social activities, having contributed to the conception of a young, environmentally focused electoral roll which ran for the city council elections in Castelfranco Veneto, in 2020 and he has held the position of Secretary for the Treviso Province of the socialist-liberal political party “Azione” since January 2022.
