Gökalp Boz

Gökalp Boz, born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1999. Since his early childhood, Gökalp's discussions with his father sparked his inquisitiveness about the inner workings of the human mind and everyday human interactions.


His academic journey commenced at Istanbul University, where he pursued a bachelor's degree in psychology. In the initial phases of his academic path, he obtained a specialized education centered around psychoanalysis. Throughout his learning voyage, Gökalp had the opportunity to work in a neurophysiology laboratory in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where he gained practical experience in the methods of cognitive psychology and neuroscience. As he gained hands-on experience, Gökalp discovered a genuine passion for exploring the intricate connections between cognitive processes and neurological mechanisms. This discovery prompted him to further his academic pursuits in research.


As a result, Gökalp decided to further his education and enrolled in the Applied Experimental Psychological Sciences master's program at Università Milano Bicocca, where he is currently pursuing his studies. His academic pursuits and hands-on experience in psychology have shaped his passion for the field of cognitive psychology, driving him to expand his knowledge and expertise in this area. In the present, his primary area of focus revolves around implicit cognitive processes. His ambitions have prompted him to consider pursuing a Ph.D. in the realm of cognitive psychology.

Gökalp’s hobbies encompass playing the guitar, sketching caricatures, reading about art history and comic books.
