Minjoo Kim was born in 1997. She is a passionate, enthusiastic, and daring South Korean illustrator/animator. She graduated from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London (UAL) in the United Kingdom, studying BA (Hons) in Animation. Before her bachelor's degree, she studied Graphic Design Foundation Diploma at Central Saint Martins (UAL). Minjoo has blended her animation skills with her graphic design experience, which helped communicate her concept to the audience in the most intriguing way and made her have a clean, simple, and bold style of art. One of her animations won awards and was selected as a semi-finalist, honorable mention, nominee, and finalist for 21 national and international film festivals.

She worked for a start-up healthcare company as a part-time animator, where she made several animations and character designs. Her other experience, such as working with Barbican Centre as a director and animator during her undergraduate study, shaped her into who she is as an artist. Since her childhood, her favorite pastime has been drawing and creating original characters and stories. She specializes in 2D mixed-media animation; meaning she can animate digitally and traditionally, and she is flexible with using various media and styles.
