Martina Tucci

Associate Researcher

Martina Tucci is a graduate of Sapienza University of Rome, holding a master’s degree in English and Anglo-American Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, with specialisations in English and Russian. Before embarking on her university studies, Martina attended an art school, which enriched her academic foundation with a comprehensive understanding of art history. This interdisciplinary background has proved invaluable in her scholarly pursuits, enabling her to seamlessly integrate art and literature within her analyses.

Martina’s academic focus centres on English, American, and Native American literature. Her research transcends traditional literary criticism, delving into pressing social issues such as gender disparity, social injustice, and ecocriticism. A notable aspect of her scholarly work is her specialisation in writing about human rights within the literary context.

Believing firmly in the transformative power of literature, Martina aims to utilise the written word as a catalyst for societal change. Through her work, she seeks to raise awareness and prompt critical reflection on multifaceted and often overlooked issues. By using literature to advocate for social justice, she invites readers to engage deeply with complex socio-cultural phenomena, encouraging a more informed and empathetic world view.
