Kanan Babazade was born in the capital city of Azerbaijan – Baku, in 1998. His academic path began in Vancouver, Canada, where he completed his high school diploma and then moved to Toronto to pursue his Bachelorette degree.

Being passionate about the structure of international and domestic politics, as well as studying the historical events that serve as a prelude to the formation of the world order, he pursued his academic career by successfully graduating from York University (Toronto, Canada) with the Honours Bachelors in Political Science. His enthusiasm, passion and hard work helped him to graduate with Magna Cum Laude and obtain various scholarships. During his Bachelorette journey, Kanan wrote many academic papers, including extended research papers, critical and analytical essays, and brief articles. The topics of his writings varied, starting from international politics up to political philosophy.

Moreover, from his rich experience, Kanan was appointed as a Team Lead in the Publishing Team of the International Relations Student Association at York, where he was a writer and an editor. During his experience, he wrote various articles, was responsible for editing the works of other members of the organization and helped them with any issues regarding their work. Apart from it, Kanan participated in the Model United Nation Conference in Georgetown, USA, where he actively engaged in debates and discussions, wrote various resolution papers, and did extensive research on different topics.
