About

Agnese Placci was born in 1999 in Faenza, a small town in Italy internationally renown for its ceramics. Since a very young age, she has cultivated a strong interest for art history, which she decided to pursue academically and professionally. In 2018, she moved to London, where she worked at a school of English, before starting a BA in History of Art with Curating at Birkbeck, University of London. She wrote her dissertation on the effect of different exhibition displays on Sarah Lucas and Tracey Emin’s artworks. Agnese graduated in 2022 with a First Class Honours degree. She is starting an LLM in Art Law at the University of York in autumn 2022. She has professional experience as Gallery Assistant, Writer, Private Tutor and Exhibition Assistant, and she hopes to pursue a career in the auction world.
