Sandra Nwamaka Megbulem, known as Amaka, embraces her cultural heritage and origins. As the second of five daughters, she has always challenged societal norms and stereotypes, advocating for women's independence and encouraging others to pursue ambitions beyond traditional gender roles. Amaka is a dedicated researcher with a strong passion for languages. She holds both a Baccalaureate and Master’s degree in French language, Culture, and Literature from the Universities of Benin and Lagos in Nigeria, respectively. Fluent in French and English, she also has a working knowledge of German, Chinese, and Spanish.

Amaka has recently been accepted into a doctoral program in French Literature at a prestigious university in the United States. Her research will focus on the role of sensory perception in contemporary realist literature. She considers her older sister and late mother as her heroes, admiring their diligence, sacrifice, and hard work. She also looks up to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the highly educated global finance expert and Director-General of the World Trade Organization, aspiring to use her academic and literary pursuits to positively impact society.
