Calliope Smia was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1990. The legal field was her first love, hence, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Democritus University of Thrace, where she entered on scholarship. Later on, her passion for people and organizations triggered her interest in the field of Human Resources and she recently obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Sheffield, a title awarded to her with distinction.

During her 5-year career in advocacy, Calliope intensively involved in various legal cases, particularly with regard to Criminal Law, Labor Law, and Company Law. Nonetheless, she is very well familiar with International Law and GDPR. She enjoys learning foreign languages and, overall, she speaks four, with great fluency in Greek, English, and French. She is also PC literate, tech-savvy, and certified with the European Computer Driving License (ECDL).

As a person, she considers herself as a dynamic, open-minded individual with a proactive mindset, detail- and result-oriented, who believes in life-long education and personal development. She is very sensitive in social matters and causes, such as human rights, animal rights, environmental consciousness, and child protection, so she always assists corresponding organizations either financially or via volunteering. Her ultimate professional goal is to establish a successful and impactful career in the field of HR.
