Matt Walton


Matt was born in Shrewsbury, England, in 1998.

He studied English Literature at the University of Leicester, with a dissertation on ‘The British Poetry Revival’, a British poetry movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Alongside his academic endeavours at university, Matt also took several creative writing classes, developing his creative skills and honing the craft of proofreading and editing other students’ work.

Since graduating, Matt has been developing his editing skills and furthering his understanding of the English language. He works freelance as an editor, fulfilling his passion for working with the written word, and helping others communicate through language as effectively and elegantly as possible.

Matt also continues to write creatively, primarily poetry and short fiction. He is a founding member of a writing group in which members read, critique, edit and provide feedback on all sorts of creative writing projects.

Outside of reading and writing, in his spare time, Matt enjoys film photography, watching football, rock climbing, and watching and reviewing films.
