Gavin Chiu

Gavin Chiu, was born in 1999 in Hong Kong. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a major in biomedical sciences and a minor in Japanese language. He then moved to London and pursued a master’s in cognitive neuroscience at UCL.
Over the years of studying science, Gavin has developed a passion for academic reading and writing. He is most fascinated by the mysteries of the brain, specifically how it guides our everyday thoughts and behaviours. He is also a big fan of tech, and his primary research interest concerns how modern technology integrates with the human mind. During his free time, Gavin enjoys reading popular science books on mind-related topics like consciousness and artificial intelligence, as well as playing basketball. He also loves travelling and meeting new people around the world, especially since coming to the UK. His current goal is to visit every European country before he turns 30.
